KING comes for your immortal soul; halt HIS foul encroachment or face eternal perdition. 

Ritual is a solo horror TTRPG of immersive, physicalised, horror. Recite incantations, invoke mantra and sigils, light candles and fend off the sorcerous schemes of KING. Play with tarot or playing cards upon a ritual cloth; dim the lights and play by candle light to disrupt; repurpose and nullify HIS sorcerous ritual before it's too late!

Too late you notice HE encroaches upon you, intent on siezing your immortal soul for sempiternal torment. Not a some character, plucked form your imagination and fueled by dice rolls, but you.

Gameplay

You’ve no hope of besting KING’s overwhelming magical prowess but you might just be able to disguise yourself behind HIS arrogance and surprise HIM. Subervert, redirect and usurp KING’s estoteric onslaught and foil HIS machination. 

Represented by increasingly complex patterns of cards, players must use counter-rituals to usurp stages (Rites) of the overall ritual from KING; seize more Rites than HE can complete to foil HIS ritual. To conduct your counter rituals, players will have to physically enact amalgamns of real rituals - light candles, invoke your personal sigil and chant verse.
